Nielsen awarded prestigious honors by Consumer Goods Technology Magazine

New York, NY, January 25, 2016 Nielsen, a leading global provider of information and insights into what consumers watch and buy, has been awarded honors by Consumer Goods Technology Magazine.

Nielsen was awarded in two categories from Consumer Goods Technology Magazine’s Readers’ Choice 2016. For the second year in a row, Nielsen was named Best in Category for Demand Data Analytics, and this year also earned SMB Market Leader (highest score from respondents with revenue equal to or less than $1B in a category) in the category. This is the second time Nielsen has won best in class for demand data analytics, first winning in 2015. For the first time, Nielsen was also awarded a top 10 solution provider in the Trade Promotion Management category.

“We are honored to be recognized by the readers of Consumer Goods Technology in the Demand Data Analytics and Trade Promotion categories,” said Rick Hall, Global Head Sales Effectiveness, Nielsen. “At Nielsen, we’re laser-focused on guiding our clients in the journey of transforming store-level data into measurable bottom line results.”

Consumer Goods Technology polls its readers annually (this is the 16th year) to determine the consumer goods industry’s Top Providers in 12 categories, which reflect the vast landscape of IT investment opportunities available today. The Top Providers list for each category showcases the companies that received the best overall scores for the solutions and/or services for consumer packaged goods.
